Marshmallow is the main antagonist of the Magic Cat Academy franchise, appearing as the final boss in the 2016 Game, the 2020 Game, and the 2024 Game. He is the leader of the Ghosts and attempted to attack the Magic Cat Academy to steal the Spell Book.
Biography[]
When Momo and her friends were studying in the Magic Cat Academy library, Marshmallow appeared and grabbed the Spell Book. Then, he summoned the other Ghosts to take over the school.
Momo fought her way through all of Marshmallow's generals until she eventually caught up with him on top of the school's tower. Marshmallow was trying to escape with the book, but Momo went on a broomstick and caught him. But Marshmallow read the Spell Book and consumed all of its' powers, turning him into a massive three-eyed monster. Momo began to battle the Marshmallow using spells while the Boss Ghost tried to eat her. An army of Ghosts arrived to help their leader but were all defeated, and Momo used one last spell to strike lightning onto the Marshmallow, causing him to leech out ghosts and his powers to be returned to the Spell Book and he fell out of the sky.
However, Marshmallow, in fact, survived being defeated by Momo, and fell into the ocean, crushing Sugar's sailboat as he went. Cackling, he summoned all his ghosts back to him and retreated deep into an underwater trench.
False demise[]
Momo chased him to the bottom, where he had possessed a fissure, and fought him. After a battle, he transformed into a volcano and fought her again. After she defeated the remainders of his army, she attacked him and used a spell to conjure lightning and strike the Marshmallow, causing him to return to his normal form and shoot out of the ocean and go flying into space, "killing" him once and for all.
Teaming up with Momo and Redemption[]
After Momo went up to space and defeated new ghosts taking the form of flying foxes, constellations, sprites and ice spiders Marshmallow has familiar dark purple star inside him. After a brief fight, the star gets inside the sun, turning it into a monster that threatens to burn Earth alive. Teaming up with Momo and setting aside their differences, Momo reverted the Sun back to normal with Marshmallow's help of the newest Hourglass power, causing both of them to return to Earth and Marshmallow having a change of heart,
Appearance[]
He is bigger than the other Ghosts, but he looks the same, with white pupils in his eyes and a black mouth. However, when he becomes a monster, he becomes gigantic and has three eyes.

The Boss Ghost is the leader and commander of the Ghosts. His entire army obeyed him without question and had no problems with following his evil orders. The Boss Ghost had four high-ranking Ghosts in his army. These Ghosts were placed as commanders of his army during the Academy's invasion. However, they were all destroyed by Momo. It is revealed that he is very cruel, selfish and uncaring when he placed them at the Library, Kitchen, Science Lab and Gymnasium, and hurtfully dismisses their deaths as pathetic and weak, worsening his reputation as a horrible general. However, at the ending screen after the player beats the game, Boss Ghost seems very upset with them for their change of heart after their revivals. However, a family photo of Boss Ghost with the Librarian Ghost, the Cauldron Ghost, the Planetarium Ghost and the Coach Ghost can be seen at the ending of the 2024 Game, confirming he made peace with them and apologized for his actions.
Momo[]
Momo was his enemy. She rivalled his rule on the school and defeated his commanders and army. The Boss underestimated her powers, but she was able to defeat him. Marshmallow tried to get his revenge on her, but she proved to be strong with magic and managed to kill him. However, in the 2024 Game, he set aside his differences and befriends her, showing that he is forgiven.
